Pricing
***NOT APPLICABLE TO PATIENTS WITH MEDICAID ***
Office visits will be charged based on time spent. Patients who join the practice (see membership information) pay a discounted rate of 30% less for office visits.
The following prices are for non-members of the practice, i.e. first-time patients who have not yet joined, or patients who use our practice episodically for care:
- $100 for a 20 minute visit: These will typically be single-issue, problem-focused visits such as a urinary tract infection, sore throat, a simple injury, or follow up of a single chronic condition.
- $200 for a 40 minute visit: Follow up on two medical concerns, a more complicated injury, an acute illness where homeopathic consultation is desired.
- $300 for a 60 minute visit: For more complex issues like an initial consultation for depression, follow up on more than two medical problems, repair of a laceration, for example.
Pricing for visit lengths in between these guides is at the discretion of the physician.
EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 2011, “AFTER HOURS” VISITS (AFTER 5PM ON WEEKDAYS, ALL DAY ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS) WILL CARRY AN ADDITIONAL $50 CHARGE.
ADDITIONAL FEES (MATERIAL FEES):
Depending on the nature of the visit, a materials fee may be charged (e.g. $15 for a rapid strep test, $20 for a rapid flu test, $25 for a suture kit, $10 for a urinalysis or urine pregnancy test).
We can order common laboratory tests with Quest Diagnostics and Lab Corp laboratories for reduced rates and can provide patients with these prices upon request.
LOW COST PHARMACEUTICALS
We stock about ten commonly prescribed generic medications, each priced at $15 or less, as a convenience to patients who don’t want to wait at the pharmacy when they are sick, or for those without a prescription drug benefit. These include Penicillin; Azithromycin (Z-Pack); Ondansetron (Zofran, for nausea and vomitting); Doxycyline; A/B Otic (ear drops for ear pain/infection); Acyclovir (antiviral for herpes); Bactrim; Ciprofloxacin; Flagyl; and Afrin nasal spray.
FOR PATIENTS WITH COMMERCIAL INSURANCE, ALL LABS AND IMAGING STUDIES ARE BILLED THROUGH INSURANCE (i.e. patients do NOT pay out of pocket for these tests).
