Lila Rosenthal
Dr. Lila Rosenthal’s clinic days are Monday, Wednesday morning, and Thursday.
Originally from Milwaukee, I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my medical degree from the Ben Gurion University in Israel. After completing my residency training in the Boston area and working as an attending physician in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I moved to Boulder in 2007 with my husband and daughter. We feel blessed to live in a community surrounded by natural beauty and good energy. And after surviving winters in New England and the Midwest, the climate will keep us here for the long-haul!
My practice philosophy is that high quality, evidence-based medicine is enhanced by a strong patient-doctor relationship, judicious use of testing and pharmaceuticals, and incorporating complementary modalities. I am committed to providing whole-person care, and in December, 2010, I became a Diplomat with the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM) to further deepen that commitment. I want you to feel that decision-making about your health is collaborative and empowering. I sincerely wish for you to leave an appointment feeling that I listened, and showed genuine respect and concern for you. And I hope that there will be times when you leave having laughed a bit, or lightened the weight that health concerns can carry.
In my free time, I enjoy yoga, road bicycling, hiking, volunteering at my daughter’s public school, and volunteering with HealthRight International. I am a member of the executive committee of the Boulder County Medical Society and have been active in health policy reform with Doctors for America.
I am grateful to my patients for allowing me to be part of their journey toward improved wellness and contentment, and I look forward to building a My Family Doctor community that fosters these worthwhile goals for us all. Together with my colleague, Dr. Kristin van Konynenburg, I sincerely welcome you to your new medical home.
